13.09.1994 – EAN UKRAINE is established

31.10.1994 – EAN UKRAINE is a Member of EAN International

12.12.1994 – Decree of Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine “About the Article Numbering Association of Ukraine EAN UKRAINE”

1995

15.03.2005 – GS1 Prefix 482 is assigned to EAN UKRAINE

23.03.1995 – The first GTIN with GS1 Prefix 482 was allocated to the Soap “Hetman” of Kalynysky Fats and Oil Fractioning Experimental Plant

1996

First set of Ukrainian National Standards for bar codes approved.

29.05.1996  – Decree of Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine “About implementation of the bar coding”

1998

GS1-128 and Application Identifiers approved as the National Standards

1999

5 years of EAN UKRAINE

  • 1900 associated members
  • 28000 GS1 Numbers certified

2000

EAN UKRAINE joined the Global Electronic Party Information Register (GEPIR)

2001

The National electronic catalogue for goods and services (Depositary) is launched

2002

First publication of GTIN Allocation Rules in Ukrainian

2003

27.06.2003  Mr Georgiy Dzis, the founder and first President of EAN UKRAINE passed away

EAN Ukraine is the representative of EPCglobal

06.11.2003 – Mr Valentyn Oskolskyi elected as the President of EAN UKRAINE

The office of Association in Kyiv is generally reconstructed

Ministry of Economy and European Integration updated its Regulations On the Bar-Coding of Goods

New GS1 Ukraine standard for Ukrainian GS1 System Terminology approved

Digital signature introduced in electronic communications with the member companies

2008

ISO/GS1 Bar Code Verification Service implemented

New (redesigned) version of GS1 General Specifications is published in Ukrainian

Number of new data synchronization initiatives on Ukrainian market

The governmental project for control of pharmaceuticals in the supply chain, based on GS1 DataMatrix and other GS1 Standards, is launched in Ukraine

December 2013 – GS1 Ukraine and the State Inspectorate for Quality Control of Medicines signed the Memorandum of Understanding

The new advanced system for communications with Members is launched
